Midnight Bird

Bird

This gorgeous fellow was drawn by Hayley Wilson (13 at the time) using metallic pens on matte black paper. The photo does not do it justice!

Alive!

Hope

Today’s post is a fresh new painting from Debi Hubbard, entitled Hope. The full length of the piece is below, with a zoom in on the detail underneath.

Abundantly

It’s beautiful like

the power to choose

the power to change

the power to lose

and still not fail

To lose your life (to really live)

To lose yourself (in Him)

To lose your heart

To lose it to save those

Far from

His face…

It’s beautiful,

this longing,

like a thirst that’s

quenched

like a drought that’s

watered

like a book that’s written

by the blind and deaf

and that just makes a

brilliant movie…

Living is better than

thinking about

living

Breathing is better than

a remembered

gasp of air

Moving is better than

wishing you

could

Just live

Just breathe

Just move

Abundantly

Flying

I see the edge, and too much of what’s beyond.

Shall I go?

So I run to it – I run hard,

heart beating, mouth dry.

I will fall… or

I FLY.

I soar above what’s left of broken dreams.

It hurts a little to look down,

to see those still crawling.

So I don’t look down.

I look up. And up.

And then…

I break through.

Through the clouds,

Through the dark… into the

SON!
