From the hearts of the short people

I found these gems on our drawing table at church yesterday. We have a table set up permanently with paper and wax crayons – partly to keep bored kiddies busy, but also for any prophetic inspiration that might bubble up during the meetings. I thought these were worth sharing…

Rescued!

The possibility of

Something else

Something beautiful

Something more

Doubles the weight

Of the chains that

keep

Me

In this dark existence

Stuck

 Hopeless

Broken

But then

Light

Colour

Sound

That sends

Bubbles and

Vibrations and

Dance

Swirling through

My body

And soul

An EXPLOSION

of life!

Ah!

How beautiful

Salvation is!

Facets of God

Artist ~ Glen Hubbard

This painting is one of four murals that line the back of our platform at church. They were created by 4 individual artists during worship times at our Spring Conference in 2011. We’ll be featuring the other 3 on this blog as well.

In the photo to the left, you can see the early stages of this incredible piece starting to take shape.

CATCH

Sacred Stardust

In the outermost darkness of my most desolate heart
I despaired “Have You forgotten that we are but dust?!”

In exquisite suffering

He revealed He can never forget His promise…
In grace restoring my life,
colours come back
And sometimes I hear a whispering, a longing…
perhaps Him calling us to remember
We are not just any old dust
But His sacred stardust
Animated by His Own Breath
Set out to play
In the glorious splendour
Of the infinite light
Of His great love
